It took me a while to re-listen to what I said in the podcast series I co-created, In Pursuit of Cross-Racial Friendship. I’ve gotten so much feedback about the conversations I had, like “Why did you do it for him?” and “And you shouldn’t have had to have that conversation.”
And, “It was so painful to listen to…” I shared a version of myself, a raw, vulnerable version of myself that many friends and former colleagues had never heard before.
